Archaeology

My interest in archaeology began in second grade, where I was part of the SAGE program at my school. According to the school district's webpage, SAGE (or Selected Activities in Gifted Education) is "for students who have qualified for the gifted program. These classes provide challenging activities above and beyond the grade level curriculum". Basically, this meant I was pulled out of 'normal' classes to do projects on brain diseases and stuff. I don't remember much, but I do remember learning about the Great Pyramids and doing an activity where we performed an archaeological excavation in a bucket of sand.
